I took 800 mg ibuprofen that my dr prescribed for my back after a car accident and about 30 minutes after I took aleve 3 of them for a bad migraine (I usually take that many) completely forgetting about the ibuprofen I took. Now my stomach hurts. Anyone know if that is a reason? I usually dont have stomachaches

You're not supposed to mix ibuprofen and aleve. They're the same type of medicines. I'd honestly call a nurses line and see if you should go get checked out..

Depending on what kind of aleve you have, you took approximately 1,460mg of nsaids. That's not good especially if it's causing a stomach ache.

Yeah that's a lot of medication. My friend's ex boyfriend overdosed on ibuprofen. Please call a doctor or speak to a nurse and see what they have to say

I’m a Nurse Practitioner...one of the main side effects of NAIDs is that can cause GI upset and GI bleed, especially when taken on an empty stomach. Taking that much at one time, you’re at risk for damaging your kidneys, where they are metabolized.

My man takes 800 ibuprofen he had a ACL surgery awhile ago that meds should definitely be taken Not on an empty stomach and a full glass of water helps ,feel better &yeah I would call posit. Control see what they recommend
