We are finally having an IEP meeting about what went down with my brother’s suicide ideation not being reported until we found out about it 45 days later. It took three cancellations because they kept trying to have the meeting without the psychologist present. My psych connections and our advocate advised us not to allow that considering this is a huge ball that was dropped and it’s a mental health issue. However, my anxiety needs this. My PTSD was deeply triggered and if my son doesn’t get into the Montessori charter via lottery, then this is his home school for K-6 and he’ll start there in the fall. I need to know my son is going to be okay at this school, especially taking his autism and anxiety into consideration. Is it 8:30am yet?
