My girls have always taken a full glass of water to bed with them. Limiting fluids won’t make a difference it’s just what people tell you! My two were dry in the night before the day (day trained at 2.5 years). It will happen when it happens. Don’t panic x
My Sophia was wetting the bed until she turned 5. I cut drinks out and she always peed before bed anyway but didn’t work. Soon as she hit 5 honestly it stopped and always dry she can sleep like 13 hours without moving. I bought a mattress protector and like these puppy like pads from savers for bed wetting. X
Ahh thank you 😊 I didn’t even think about a mattress protector! I’ll get one and some pads and see how we go. He’s pretty much cracked the day time I’m trying to get it done the best I can during half term xx
@arlosmomma, honestly don’t stress about the nights Sophia can tank glasses of water not per before bed and wake up dry. Her school nurse told me it’s definitely hormonal. I got mattress protector from b&m xxx
I don’t literally mean that I’m going to try and wake him up training or anything 😂 I just mean advice to minimise bed wetting like I got from the first commenter about reducing drink intake etc x
Until the hormone kicks in, they won’t be dry at night no matter what you try. When they’re ready to loose the pull up/nappy, they will be waking up everyday dry x
That must be part of my downfall, I leave drinks unguarded and he sneaks around drinking them at night 😂 do you think it’s worth putting a puppy pad type thing done for the first few nights just incase?x
I get grace to have her last drink at about half 6/7 pm then get her to have a big wee on the toilet or potty before she gets into bed
And 9/10 times she’s dry
Only has the odd accident when she’s got a cough and cold
