I completely stopped the formula at 1

I ran out of powder few days before my daughter turned 1 so found it pointless buying a new tub just for a few days

That makes sense, how did you warm the cows milk?

I didn't bother with the next stage of formula.

Same as @dannielle96 said, I ran out of formula about 2 weeks before he turned one so just gave cows milk.

Follow on milk is a hell of a lot dearer than a 4 pint of milk and they do the same job

With all 5 of mine, I just stopped when the formula ran out. I simply warmed cows milk in a pan xx

My boy didn’t like it straight away so I would add some in his formula and gradually increase until it was just cows milk x

I mixed cows milk onto formula for 3 weeks

HV said to me there is no difference in stage 2 milk they used it as an advertising ploy because they're not allowed to advertise formula stage 1 as it goes against the nhs encouraging breastfeeding is best

My hv told me if I was to keep them on formula to keep them on stage 1 and not go on to the second. With both mine I had no problems atal with just swapping straight over as long as it was warm just by boiling the kettle and sticking them in a jug for a few mins n just keep checking the same as you'd cool formula down. Goodluck she may pull a few funny faces n be abit constipated until her body can toletate the different milk xx
