I fee like giving up. This time last year my LO wasnt sleeping, I was performing badly at work, got put on a "plan" and ended up resigning from my full time before they could sack as it would have gone on my record and I'd have been unemployable in that field for 2 years. I then got an amazing job on a temp contract, and I'm competing against a student for a permanent position. However same again my LO has not slept through January and again I've been called up on my performance. Hes been getting up at 5, I've now got a week off and hes decided to get up at 4

I don't know if I'm jur kidding myself thinking I can have a full time job (there arent really part time roles)

It can be super tough. I always found being more organised at home was key when I was working and hamish wasn’t sleeping. I used slow cooker a lot to batch cook or just throw something on in the morning before work, it normally done lunches for the next day. I follow the organised mum method and so minimal cleaning at weekends. Hamish went through phases waking at 4 and is 5-6 now. Because I try cook and clean as soon as he’s in bed it means I can workout shower and go to bed in the evenings. Then I’m in bed for 9pm latest and actually get enough sleep to manage my day.

Thanks I've been others mentioned organised mum.

I have a slow cooker but weve just turned vegetarian and so I'm struggling for dinners. Lo I will batch and freeze at the weekend but freezer idnt big enough for more.

He goes to bed at 8, but probably wont settle til 8.30, and he wakes if I shower next to his room so I go while weeks without a shower.

I'll look into organised mum thank you xx

our freezer is tiny as well, I use bags and store the food that way. Some nights would just be fish fingers and fries to go (microwave) with veg as didn’t forward plan. Even if you cooked 3-4 meals for the week on a Sunday? Could do veggie meatballs throw on pasta when home, veggie stir fry takes no time, mushroom stroganoff micro rice, lentil and chickpea curry, vegetable lasagne, pizza? Just some veggie ideas. The BabyLedWeaningCookbook slow cook app and main app are great for ideas.

What is his sleeping pattern? I would try to bring his bedtime an hour earlier but try doing it gradually. When mine go to bed later they get over tired & actually have a worse night sleep & wake-up just as early! Regardless of what you try or have tried it may just take time. Some children don't sleep through. Max is 4 this year & still wakes. I'm trying to get stricter with him now he's a bit older.

I'm up at 6am & out the door 6.45am ready to work 7am Monday -Friday. I work term time now but used to do 4full days. It's tiring. Cleaning is for Sunday's. Unless something is desperate like hoovering it can wait. I pack lunches/ bags & set up clothes before bed. If showering is waking him then do it when he's awake. Put him in bath shower with you. Or just in the room. Or put him in his room gate up. Have a quick shower. Get tougher on your oh. He needs to help around the house & with his son. If he's not willing to love & support you then have a think about why your together? That's your decision. If you end up stopping working then it will all be on him then? What does he think of that...

Routine is key. But also relax & have fun. When your not working go on walks, parks, just play. Housework can wait a while. Maybe take some vitamins to help boost your immune / tiredness. Speak to a doctor.

I'm really struggling

We are going for evening walks now, we stick to our routine of nappy, pyjamas and stories and I've been gradually bringing bedtime forward from 8 to 7.45 but now hes waking at 4am screaming to go and play which once again has caused me and OH to have a full on argument at 4am because the screaming is just too much and he doesnt understand that it's not play time and he just gets more and more worked up until I just end up taking him downstairs to stop the crying/not to wake everyone up

I get him from nursery at 5.30, and he goes to bed at 8, else I feel like I havent seen him. Since xmas hes been waking throughout and then up at 4. I'm definitely going to try and bring bedtime forward because I do think hes over tired especially the days hes been at nursery.

Hes scared of the shower wont come in with me and we dont have a bath, I guess I could put him in his cot to play for 10mins.

My OH is a whole other story.

And I'm anemic which makes mr super tired so I'll defo keep on top of that, its thing like that that I always push aside while i put everyone else first. I also decided today I'm going to stop doing more than my fair share at work, I do loads of extra projects because I enjoy and it makes me look good but not at the risk of my workload, health and my me time x

Thanks for replying x
