I know one thing I’m drilling into my boy, always speak to me or his dad about ANYTHING. Because God knows I would never want my boy to suffer alone. Mental health is the devil.

That's lovely. I've suffered with depression my whole life, I didn't have a nice childhood and lost my grandad when I was a hormonal teenager and I remember my mom/stepdad telling me I shouldnt be upset because "its not like it's your dad", I remember coming back from the funeral and they had a go at me because I hadnt done the washing up. I had strict chores to do.
Then when I mentioned one day that post-baby the doc had put me on an antidepressants my mom said she had to have them too after having my sister and I remember thinking how can you understand what it's like to feel depressed and yet be completely ignorant when your own child feels depressed

Gosh, that sounds horrible 🤭 one good thing about having a crappy childhood is you give the complete opposite for your own which is amazing, i don’t think some people were cut out to be the emotional/sympathetic or helpful parent by the sounds of it. Is your depression okay now? X

This! The world is so evil nowadays people are scrutinised for every decision they make. I also dont think its great that children are now thinking it's a trend to have mental health issues. (Came from a documentary I watched on channel 4, a young 13 year old girl said it's a trend in my school to self harm) which is awful. Just think it's a much tougher world these days. Xx

I mean don’t get me wrong it’s going to be easier said than done as I can imagine the worlds only going to get worse before better, the thought of my son suffering alone would kill me. I think as I mom hopefully I’ll know the signs and instead of forgetting or letting something get in the way I’ll stop what I’m doing and talk to him. I watched one and there was an 11 year old trying to kill herself I think it was anxiety as she was so scared of the world etc. She’d have panic attacks. But she was suffering from the age of six and nothing could be done until she was a teenager 🥺 I just hope they fund mental health more for the future xxx

@nicolemariehooperxo I still struggle but my life is better and I think its just more my brain chemicals cause it than my circumstances if that makes any sense. But I work with kids and I can completely relate to the depressed kids, sadly x
