Any of you have tips on potty training out of the house?
My 3 year old is 95% potty trained AT HOME. I put a diaper on him when he falls a sleep at bedtime and take it off as soon as he wakes up in the morning. Fully potty trained, at Home. When we leave the house, I always put a diaper on him “just in case” and he ALWAYS uses it. It’s like because he knows he has one on, he’ll use it.
Am I the problem? Should I just bite the bullet and let him go diaper free when we run errands? I’m just worried.
He also has a little fear of public restrooms because of how loud the flushing is.

Get sticky notes to cover the auto sensors and warn them before you let them go off. But yes bite the bullet. Stop using diapers except for sleep.

Try to find training undies. They look and feel like underwear,but absorb like a diaper. Tell him they are underwear. And as soon as u go somewhere, go straight to the bathroom and encourage him to use the potty

He has a couple of those from when we first potty trained him. I actually forgot about them.

Yes, I think you need to stop with the diapers. Let him out of the stall before you flush. My girl was afraid of the hand dryers. 🤷🏼♀️
