I can’t even believe I’m saying this but my daughter really wants a hamster for her birthday and I’m going to give in and let her have one. Anyone have any experience with hamsters and kids?? I’ve always heard they’re mean and they bite. 😩

Get a Siberian dwarf hamster they are bigger sized hamsters ,very friendly and live up to 4yrs ,we had 1 before and petted him daily he never bit , keep his cage clean and filled with that soft bedding for them not hard to take care of

I think your children may be kind of young ,I would say get a fish for young children

I would not do it. I had a bunch one time and one bit into the artery that runs through my hand and almost killed me. I lost a lot of blood and had to have shots and blood fusions they are nasty little critters and if they bite the right spot it can be dangerous

yes theys a artery that runs between your thumb and first finger my asshole hamper chopped right through it 😳 she had just had baby’s and was a ill little asshole 😂😒 I guess she thought I was reaching for her baby’s

Get a betta fish so much easier and they don’t stink like hamsters. My Walmart has a 5 gal fish tank for 30$
