So I’ve been really thinking about getting a dog 😊 I have the time and space for one etc ☺️🥰 I’m just wondering what people do when they go on holidays abroad? I’m planning a trip abroad in December 🤔 but not sure if I’ll have a dog before then or after then.
Also there’s quite a few breeds I love 🤣😅 But I’m going to find it so hard to just pick one lol!
What breed dogs do you have if you have one? 😊😊

They’re hard work! I have a shiht tzu and two shitzu cross, whom are father and daughter, those two are tiny. If we went away I’d give someone I trust a key to come feed and let them out/ close and shut my curtains etc x

Yeah I have experience with dogs 😊 looked after my aunties for 6 months whilst she was in hospital ☺️ xx

I would wait until after. Its not a good idea to get a dog and then go away a few months later x

Also may have moved in with my partner by December anyway ☺️ he won’t be going away with me because of work. So the dog will be alright with him ☺️ he was thinking about getting a dog too once in his own place xx

We use a home sitting service, costs a little more everyday than a kennel but we get daily updates with pictures and the walks they do look incredible! Barking Mad are available UK wide, they offer a lifetime one off registration fee visit the house and learn all about your dog, including a diary of what’s their normal.
We went for a springer spaniel because we wanted a dog that could go running with us, turns out she kept running in front of us so that didn’t work out. She has to be kept super active which isnt a problem. We have a dog walker service as some days with the kids it’s just not feasible to take them out on long enough walks due to the weather. We just text dog walker that day/week if we are going to need her and pay a small holding fee every month. She is a huffy madam if she doesn’t get a walk for one day.

We’ve got a golden retriever, she’s just turned 1. They’re really quite hard work as puppies. Need sooooo much attention and she likes to chew... well everything. My mum and dad have had her in the past but she’s too much hard work. So we’re going to see a dog sitter today who keeps them in her home and sends lots of pictures. She’s not cheap but we go away in 10 weeks and just need to find somewhere we will know she’s happy
