Huh? Why does he need to? My sons father hasn’t met my son and I don’t believe he does need to. I prefer he stays out than in and out for the rest of his life. Unless my son is old enough to request to meet him.

I’d ask her opinion. My fiancé’s fathers family contacted his mom after 20+ years. She talked to all of his siblings and they decided not to talk to them. But she let them make the decision.
My father was in and out of my life until my daughter was born. I refused to see him multiple times because of that.
It should be her decision.

I'm sorry he was that way but if you never met him you wouldn't know why your mom left him he probably did that to her too be strong know your worth you are enough he was the problem

honestly he wasn’t the best person much less father till I had my daughter. He’s great now. Literally the best grandfather anyone can have. She loves him as much as I loved my grandfather and that’s saying a lot. He’s matured and realized and apologized for being an awful dad.
It made me who I was today and made me appreciate my mother and grandparents for raising me. I know I am who I am today because of them and not him.
But I also know this is his last chance. He can’t be in and out of my daughters life. If he leaves he won’t see us again. I have boundaries because I never want her to feel the type of hurt I did.
And that’s what you do as a mom. You protect your babies. You know your daughter. You know her father. And you will make the right decision for her.
