What causes extra fluid around baby? Im stressing about it. 😩 I heard it wont harm the baby but idk...
I had polyhyrdrominos without GD. No one knows why. I had a scheduled C-section two days ago. He's perfectly normal. He's perfect. He was also measuring over two weeks ahead. 39 wks 1 day 7lbs 13oz 20.5 inches, see normal. You'll just need to be monitored cow ultrasound and Nst until delivery. Good luck! Try not to stress. Stay off Dr. Google. Worst thing ever is to go read. Best thing to do, ask even the silliest questions to your OB. That's why they're there and get paid the big bucks. One last things, because of the fluid, they will also check out your baby's kidneys for dilation. Not a big deal while still in the womb and will most likely work itself out in a few weeks post delivery. Again, congrats and good luck! ❤️
I second this! I also had polyhydrominos for no reason but I got to see my daughter on ultrasound every month and a half. I didn't have GD her kidney's were functioning just fine and she was swallowing fine to. The last 6 weeks they had me do NST testing and had scheduled to induce my on my due date. I ended up having her 2 weeks early and she's perfect. She is small but I just tend to have smaller babies.
I had this happen, heres what I was told, first they monitored me for 2 weeks with ultrasounds, to see if I needed checked for GD. BUT by the 2nd week, my son had "caught up" with the fluid and it was back to normal.
My doctor told me, a growth spurt happened, which was due. Sometimes if a ultrasound is done before a growth spurt it due to happen, it throws things off.
I should also mention had this as well the last couple of weeks pregnant with my two year old. She perfect in every way. If anything, she's as tall as a four year old hehe (she's a giant🙂). Trust me, stress will mess with your mind and ruin your life. Just keep up with the follow-ups and this will most likely resolve on it's own.
