What things did your kids have trouble pronouncing? Instead of using a c or ck sound for things such as cup, book, cookie , etc he uses a b or p. So instead of cup, bup, book is boop, choochoo for a train is boooboooo. Did your kids end up eventually like getting it at a reasonable age ? Cause he doesn’t even try when I try to correct it he just tells me no and says it his way 😅

He’s still young so at this point I wouldn’t be too concerned. My 3.5 year old still has issues with certain letter sounds and he goes to speech lesson to help

That's normal for his age. When I did evaluations I wasn't concerned with letter sounds being pronounced correctly until the child was around 4-6

Thanks ! He has a lip and tongue tie that I was concerned about since birth and his doctor always pushed off on me . So I’m always concerned it’ll affect his speech. Not a super bad one but I always just look out for it I guess lol

hey momma, my son had tongue and lip ties that they didn’t catch when he was young. Our dentist is the one who noticed and did the procedure to clip them.
After that was done (just this past year), my son was able to pronounce words better. Words like potato with the hard T, he wasn’t able to get his tongue in the proper position prior to getting the tongue tie clipped.
If your doctor isn’t concerned about the ties, you may want to pursue with your dentist. The lip tie especially can affect how the teeth come in and how the upper jaw fits in their adult teeth.

we have a new doctor now since . And I did bring it to her attention when we first moved here and she said it was totally my choice but they weren’t bad ties and he would have to go under anesthesia being he was over one . And it made me really uncomfortable so I was gonna just wait it out but I might talk to them and just see what she thinks the best approach is

My 3 year old pronounces her Ls as Ws. So look is wook. Like is wike and so on. But if the L is in the middle of a word she says it just fine
