y'all why do obgyns make you wait so long to be seen for a first ultrasound and checkup? like why do I gotta wait til I'm like 12 weeks? what if I needed to be seen sooner? wtf?
I had an appointment set up for when id be 10 weeks but now my doc is going on vacay so they called me to change it.. 😒 why not make it sooner or with a different doctor?

first pregnancies and high risk pregnancies get priority scheduling at my ob’s office, might be the same with your doctor.

I was high risk with both my girls and had multiple miscarriages.. They know that because they've been there with me through it all. This legit gives me anxiety. I'm freaking out and just want some reassurance that as of right now everything is going fine. My biggest fear is something going wrong before my appointment.

at my doctors office you can call everyday at 3pm to see if there’s an opening the next day because of a cancellation, you could see if they have something like that and maybe get in sooner? :/

@avalunasmama I might try. I think the only reason its really taking that long is because they put me with the doctor that delivered my last. But they have 6 doctirs there and normally they can get people in the day of. That's how it was with my last atleast. I could call about anything and they'd tell me to come in that day. So idk.

I went to a free ultrasound place they made sure I was pregnant and then scheduled a ultrasound

My doctor usually always brings me in around 6ish weeks just to confirm it. But then my first actual appointment for heartbeat and ultrasound is 8-10 weeks.

I've already been confirmed by blood work weeks ago but they didn't even let me talk to the doctor or anything else. Just straight into the lab and on my way out the door. They were so good with my last pregnancy. So idk why they are being bitches this time. Plus I hate the girls at the front desk I've seen them laugh in a women's face before over her insurance not covering her or having the money to cover her appointment 😑 they used to have nicer ladies upfront but replaced them with these two girls that look like they are still in high school and obviously act like it. They are who I have to talk to when making appointments pisses me off. That's prob why I'm not getting anywhere with this. I wish we had other obgyn offices closer but we don't

You can be seen by a different doctor for the first appointment and then see your regular doctor for the rest of your pregnancy. I changed doctors and offices with both my pregnancies. It’s not a huge deal.

Well ill still have to go to the same office they are the only office in this area they cover like 6 different countys. But I might see if I can see one of the other doctors or midwives before then. They already confirmed with blood work but that's all the did.

I had that happen where they were gonna see me until 12 weeks, and I kept calling them (annoying them) hoping they would give in but then at 8 weeks i miscarried. I blamed them so much. I cussed them out and everything. How could you make someone wait till they are 3 months been trying to schedule for 2 months.

This is what I'm scared of its happened before. I had an appointment set up for 10 weeks they kept refusing to get me in then by the time I got in there I had a missed miscarriage. If they would have gotten me in sooner we would have known sooner or Idk maybe they could have helped

yeah it makes you wonder like if they actually cared and was able to get you in would you have your baby still. Smh.

This happened to me when I had to switch doctors after I moved. I had a miscarriage & an ectopic pregnancy so it pissed me off they weren't willing to see me earlier so I went to a pregnancy clinic before my actual appointment just to make sure things were ok!
