Do you work? I'm married but file sep. We have 4 kids we claim. We each do 2. Last year I cleared 8400 but I claimed head of household & I made almost 45,000 for the year. This year I'm looking any where around 3500 to 7500 because I took a lower paying job around 31,000 & if I dont claim the head of household it lowers my return. Too many factors lol.
