My son just doesn’t care about eating. I’ve tried just putting stuff on his tray, and he swats it away. He really will only eat puffs, and yogurt if I spoon feed him.
I need him to branch out. He just doesn’t seem to care at all. I guess my husband was also not much of an eater as a kid.
How can I get him to actually eat?
He’s 100 percentile for weight, and healthy as a horse. But, I feel like he may be falling behind on his eating skills.

Food before one is just for fun. I would offer him things but it’s okay if he isn’t interested. His main source of nutrition comes from formula or breast milk.

Oh definitely, if you look back at any of my posts or comments you’ll see me mention “food before one is just for fun” all the time.
It just feels weird that he isn’t eating solids like at all.

I wouldn’t stress. Just as the above food before one is just for fun. Keep offering it he’ll get it.

Taylor is the exact same way!! Anything I try to give him he spits it out and makes the grossest face lol everyone keeps telling me that he’s gonna be such a picky eater because I didn’t start feeding him at 6 month 🙄

My daughter hates eating. Sometimes I feel like she thinks it’s a punishment. At least your son is good on weight, she’s always been below the 20th percentile. Don’t stress about it right now, he’s still just a baby. He will develop his own eating habits later on. I don’t think it’s possible to be behind on eating skills. He will want to copy big sister and learn from her. My son wouldn’t eat purées, he wanted what his sister was having. Just keep offering.

I was just thinking this. My daughter not into food that much either. My oldest I remember she will eat anything I gave her. And my youngest not even if I feed her with the spoon. She dont put the puff in her mouth either and she could pick them up but just keeps them in her hand. In weight shes fine. I think shes drinking more breast milk now then when she was smaller.

My daughter didn’t really eat until 8/9 months. All that she really liked was puffs. I fed her mostly them just to continue her eating. Slowly she eat different pouches. She not nursing at night anymore. Which helped her eating more. I’ve now cut her off of the puffs too because she was refusing to eat anything else. She’s doing really good. Still working on eat different foods but she doing well with the different flavored pouches. I’m really happy.
