Went to doctors yesterday and they measured my belly and they said I’m measuring 34 weeks so two weeks ahead, so I get an ultrasound on Monday to see how big baby is cuz I’m a diabetic and my other baby’s were big babies but I’ve never measured ahead ever so I wonder if I’m closer to having her then cuz they said they will take me at 37 weeks or 38 weeks 😁
They will only let my baby be as big as 8 pounds so if she is 8 pounds before end of February they have to take me cuz I’m a high risk diabetic
@candyhamilton48, what I said still stands. It’s common to measure ahead and there’s no exact way for them to know weight because they can be off. If you aren’t measuring way ahead (4 plus weeks) there’s no reason for concern. Your dr should not induce based on size alone. If your diabetes is controlled, you aren’t spilling sugars, your baby is passing nst and biophysical ultrasounds and your placenta is functioning well, size isn’t a reason to induce. They generally won’t let you go past 38/39 weeks because having health issues compromises your placentas functions to the baby.
@dontblockmesis-imjustspeakingfacts, no they won’t let me go past 38 weeks and they have to monitor the weight cuz I had complications with my other children cuz they were big babies
Possibly! I’m measuring 3 weeks ahead and I feel like this baby about to fall out at any moment 😂😂🤣🤣
It’s common to measure ahead a few weeks. Measurements can vary based on fluid levels and baby’s position. During ultrasound your baby’s measurements can also be off plus or minus 2-3 pounds. Measuring big doesn’t mean baby will come early.
