Is anyone's child anaphylactic? My daughter has a history of food allergies and environmental allergies since she was an infant. She had her first anaphylactic episode last night where we ended up in the hospital for almost 18 hours.
Just looking for another mom's perspective of what it's like I guess..

My children no but I had severe anaphylactic episodes from the age of 12-17... Never found out exactly what caused my attacks. But I haven’t had one since I got pregnant at 17 in 2006.

ya it was really insane I saw an immunologist for awhile trying to figure it out for quite awhile. It was very bad at a point I was using epi pens on a weekly basis. Super scary I cannot imagine going through that with any of my kids.

Oh my!! I’m so sorry! That is terrifying! My son had an anaphylactic reactions to eggs when he was about 18m. It was one of the worst days. How is she doing now?

It was terrifying but it helped that she was actually calm once the ambulance came to urgent care to take us to CCMC. She's doing so much better and discharged now. I feel horrible though because I thought it was more asthma related initially. It was pretty severe though. It took two epi pen shots and oral steroids to stop it.
