Update on my drier post from yesterday... it wasn't the heating element. I got the new one put in (thanks YouTube diy videos) but still won't heat up so looks like I'm gonna be ordering more parts or a new drier 🤦 while on the mean time still hanging clothes on the line.

Have you tried cleaning out the vent. Sometimes it's the vent that is backed up which will cause it not to heat up. We had the same problem and had bought a new dryer but it took 2.5 hours to dry a small load and than seen that our vent was backed up and we cleaned it out and then our dryer started to work . We cleaned the inside and the outside vent and it works great now

I cleaned out the whole drier today. I had the whole thing apart there is no lint anywhere in it anymore. Still not working 😒

It's not in the dryer. It would be in the tube that blows the air outside. . We thought the same too until we figured it out. We took ours apart to figure out what it was and than cleaned out the whole tubing that goes from the dryer (Which wasn't anything there) to the outside. When we reached the outside part that's when we seen all of the lint backed up and there were lots of it.

That's all cleaned out too. I did that first before ordering the part. But I know two other parts it could be. I guess ill get them first and see. Only reason I'm trying to fix this one so bad is because we got a very expensive set from hubbys grandma right before she passed so I'd like to try to fix it before buying a new one because it means a lot to my hubby.
