I was just reading the NY Times. It seems that social media is the only talk of a possible WWIII. From what I read, it's been way overblown.. It's a scary thing to think about. But I feel like it would take a lot more than this to get Russia and China involved. People have way too much time on their hands to cause so much trouble with stupid internet pictures.

I agree that WWIII is an exaggeration, but this assassination could certainly draw out our presence in the Middle East and will likely increase our number of troops when we’ve been winding it down for years now. It’s very disappointing that things might be ramping back up when we have so many issues that need our attention (and money) at home.

agreed. Nobody really "wins" here. Everyone is scrambling for knowledge as to what to do. All we can do is pray and have faith the right things will happen when they need to.

My so has been in Kuwait for 6 months for a 9 month deployment.. and he just recently left for a mission and couldn’t tell me where or why (of course, it’s their rules). I’m fucking terrified my anxiety has been through the roof, and all these memes making fun of it are pissing me off and making it so much worse 😣

Bad part is my husband is currently serving, and I’m former military. They would start with former military, and by then our child will be born. That would leave 5 kids without parents, like I already talked to my mom and uncle just in case. My husband said Hoping they would exempt me cause of our kids. But it’s still scary, I don’t want them to lose a dad either. 😩

I have been in full on panic mode. My BIL & husband are now talking about joining the military.. my other BIL is already in just thankfully hasn’t been sent anywhere. But I’m PANICKING. I don’t like it at all. I don’t think anything is funny. I just hate all of it and Wanna dig myself underground until it’s over.
