My son has bad asthma and when the at home nebs don’t work (he has to use it literally all the time 😭) and he continues to wheez we have to go get a shot of steroids & hour long breathing treatment at the hospital and that usually puts it in check. The hour long is a duo neb with like 4X the amount of medicine as the at home, also oral steroids. But don’t mess around with respiratory issues.. if you feel he needs to go then take him. I waited too long once cause I thought we could handle it at home and it ended up in an ambulance and a hospital stay, I felt like total ass for not trusting my gut 😭
my son was diagnosed with asthma at like 15m. They normally can’t and won’t diagnose asthma in babies until they’re older than 2-3. But since he had literally every symptom and was in the hospital so much with his O2 constantly being in the mid to high 80’s.. they did. Steroids help a lot. My son gets wheezy and out of breath just from doing simple activities. Now he has a pulmonologist he sees monthly and on a constant regimen of albuterol and steroid inhalers everyday with a singular pill every night. Haven’t had an asthma attack in a few weeks so I’d say it’s been working really well. How long has this been going on? Maybe they should have him be seen by a pulmonologist? Poor baby boy, im sorry mama 😭 one of the scariest things is having to deal with respiratory issues in babies. Praying for you guys 🖤

I just used it , he’s still wheezing I might have to go to the hospital

I’m getting to talk to his doctor about steroids because he wheezing /coughing everyday now . Especially after he runs around the house
