My mother in law:
I specifically told her on two separate occasions that I didn't want her to feed him these fake freeze dried mashed potatoes because they contain all kinda of additives and chemicals..but she tried to give them to my son behind my back TWO TIMES after our conversation.
She's also made little comments like "if I ever drop him or something I definitely wouldn't tell you haha."
It makes me feel like I can't trust her at all and am thinking twice about her being our go to babysitter. Am I overreacting? What would you guys do?

my mom does this stuff, goes out of her way to buy juice for my daughter even though i request that she doesn’t give her juice. ive talked to her over and over and she just keeps doing it 🤷🏻♀️

I agree with @love_linds, if someone wouldn’t listen to me and was doing things to my child I didn’t approve of I would find someone who I can trust.

I hate that crap!
My grandma used to make jokes like “I’m going to sneak her a bite!” Or “it’s so good though!” when she knows damn well that my husband and I had been pescatarian for yearssss. We don’t do meat-meat for good reasons. It’s not her place to decide what my kid eats, and same with your MIL. Luckily though, my grandma only watched my daughter alone a few times, and not during meal times.
I’m so sorry. I’d be super aggravated if I were you.
I’d definitely start looking around for a sitter that makes you more comfortable.

I would spazz so no your not overreacting. I’d simply tell her exactly what I told my mother “do what I say when it comes to my children or your never going to be left alone with them”

Who is this? A family member or a paid sitter? I def wouldn’t be comfortable with that or those comments. Who knows what else she’s doing behind your back. I’d be looking for a new sitter ASAP
