What a great Christmas! I am so thankful for my neighbors who helped make it especially awesome for Mowgli!
One of the neighbors won a raffle and she got two massive toys that were on display at Costco. One was a doll house which she kept because she has four girls, but the other was a huge car activity table with a few wooden cars and an airplane. It has a track all around it and little parking spaces and a storage spot for any other cars/toys.
I talked to this lady's eldest daughter often, she has sensory issues and some other developmental problems so she is always out walking her beautiful service dog and I always enjoy our little conversations. Well Xmas eve her and her mother came knocking on the door asking us if we wanted this amazing activity table! It was a true blessing! He loves it!
All we had for Mowgli was 2 movies and we scrounged up out of next to nothing to get him a few other toys - But this was really too sweet of their family! Between them and gifts from Nana we managed to have a nice little pile of presents underneath our tree which is drawn on a piece of Styrofoam!
( a little backstory behind the tree when we first moved to Washington we could not afford a tree for our first Christmas here so I drew this tree and every year I have been adding something new to it , even when we had a tree last year. this year I added snow).
Then later yesterday one of the girls came knocking on the door to give me an amazing lavender bath set! It went great with the massive bag of Epsom salt my husband got me which doesn't sound like much but is really my favorite present of all! I told him all I wanted for Christmas was to be comfortable so he got me something to relax all of my aches and pains 🙏💏
Thank you universe- for helping my family feel a bit more prepared for such a holiday! I know it's not about the toys but this year it was truly about the feeling of connecting with my community!
