Ladies my birth sure has been a whirl wind. At our 24 hour mark baby Huxley started to show signs of having a hard time to breathe. They got a x-ray right away and it turns out he had asperated meconium from when he pooped inside me. We were told it was automatic antibiotic treatment which had to be administered by IV for 7 days. Which meant we were not going to be staying in NICU. Since then he's been hooked up to oxygen and has a feeding tube because it would be to hard for him to feed, with the breathing issues. We haven't got to breast feed and we only get a bit of skin to skin each day. He came off the oxygen on night 2 but then needed to go back on high flow for day three. At which point they have told me that he most likely will be staying longer. My emotions have been crazy and my husband has been busy working to help support us. The hospital stay is crazy expensive and my 4 year old at home doesn't understand why Mommy and Daddy arnt around. We have good moments and bad moments but I'm just trying to take it day by day. Please have baby Huxley in your prayers and pray that he gets better soon.
