Now I got a fever, chills and body aches! Idk if I should wake up my husband and go to the ER! He has to work early in the morning!
I’d honestly just to go to an urgent care or med express in your area. They’ll let you know if they believed you need hospital attention or if this is something no one can do anything for and you have to let it run it’s course. That’s what I always do first before going to the ER. That why I know if it’s actually worth going or not.
My husband has been sick since Friday and everything you have and a fever of 103. Glad I took him to the er yesterday he has a bad case of the flu and his heart rate kept jumping up and he would go unresponsive till it came down.
Do NOT go to the ER. This is NOT ER worthy. This is why the ER takes as long as it does, people go for nonsense like this. You're gettin sick... that's ALL. Take some freakin night time cold medicine, get some sleep and see your REGULAR doc as soon as you can. You are NOT dying, this is not an emergency.
@ryan_isaac_mom14, she’s not being rude, just realistic. I had stomach flu just this last week...never once did it cross my mind to go to the ER.
Being sick with viruses like this are something you’ve just got to ride out. The best thing for you will be ibuprofen or Tylenol for fever and body aches, and rest when you can. Good luck, I hope you feel better soon!
@ryan_isaac_mom14, if you don’t have insurance and you go to the ER, you’re going to be looking at over a grand in bills just for them to tell you to go home and take ibuprofen. Go to urgent care, it’s a lot cheaper.
@ryan_isaac_mom14, You think an ER bill is gonna be easier to pay?? You think havin someone watch the kids in the middle of the night to go to the ER is gonna be any easier?? If you can wake you're husband up to take you to the ER, I'd THINK you could wake him up to say, I'm takin some medicine, keep an ear out for the kids. You don't HAVE to have your own doc, go to a quick clinic this morning. Your response makes no sense.
Just treat your symptoms. No need for the ER. That’s for true emergencies. Just stay hydrated and try to rest.
