Hand mouth and foot disease, what did your doctor give or tell you to do with your little one ?
Nothing. It has to run its course. Give tylenol to make them comfy. He may not want to eat at all. Push fluids. Try popsicles. It's highly contagious.
They can’t do anything. Just fluid and Tylenol for the pain. It’s viral and has to run its course.
Not much you can do other than make sure your child drinks fluids. You can give Tylenol for discomfort. Manuka honey will help clear up the mouth sores - it’s pricey but worth it!
@felicity300079, I just realized your son is less than a year, so definitely don’t do the honey. Have you given Tylenol or ibuprofen? Is he interested in eating? You can try popsicles to help him get fluids and soothe the sores in his mouth. You can make breastmilk popsicles if you breastfeed. Last time my son had it, I had to give him water through a medicine syringe because he refused to eat or drink. Just make sure he stays hydrated and try to keep him comfortable. There’s nothing else you can really do, it’s just gotta run its course. Good luck. It is not fun, mama!
They can give you cream to put on it my son got it on his first bday
