I was kind of in denial because I didn't think they were contractions. The first few felt like strong Braxton hicks, just a tightening kind of, then they became more frequent and stronger. I tried a bath but was uncomfortable. Then I sat down on the couch and that's when I knew I had to go in because I was just getting them all day. By the time I was getting the house organized I had to sit down for every contraction and moo like a cow lol baby was here 7 hours later.
See I feel like I couldn't feel my tummy get tight. She told me it was. So I'm scared that I won't know haha. Like is my baby just moving and stretching or is it my stomach conyracting? Who knows? Lol
@mommy1991 I think if you can't tell, it's probably a really mild contraction, which should be normal if it's just here and there. I remember mine being stronger than usual and it was pretty obvious.
Following. I’m not close yet but with my first I was induced as well. I know they say those contractions are much worse than actually going into labor on your own.
Same. And I believe it. The thing is theres no gradual build up with induced contractions. You go from having the mildest period cramps to feeling like someone is tearing your pelvis apart in seconds
The last two days I’ve been cramping really bad. The first time I got it, it wasn’t bad at all. But the second day it was the worst. I felt like I couldn’t move.
Mine started as tightening and what kind of felt like sharp period cramps. They started to become frequent and intense. I get back labor as well but that didn’t start until after my water broke.
I got 2 today and it literally felt like I pulled a muscle on the under of my belly on the left side. My tummy didn't feel tight but it was. I was doing a NST so the nurse told me I was having one. I was induced with my first so all I know is crippling contractions. I qasn't expecting what I felt and if a nurse didn't tell me that's what it was I would have thought it was just a strange pregnancy pain.
@mommy1991, with my son I was induced with pitocin and those contractions compared to the ones I had when I went into labor on my own were completely different. I had contractions with my daughter that were also picked up during nst that I wasn’t feeling or didn’t bother me. I had those on and off for weeks before I went into labor. But again, my first and second experience were so different. I’m hoping this one is a good experience like I had with my daughter.
