Has anyone been given aspirin in early pregnancy? I have been taking 2 a day(as prescribed) for 9 days now, I've been given 56 tablets enough for 28 days. Do I just keep taking them till I run out or am I supposed to get more? How long are you supposed to take them for?xx
Ring and ask how long you should take them for then buy them yourself, cost the NHS more than the shops charge xx
I took it right up until I gave birth. I got given them by my consultant then I just went to my doctors and told them about it and they gave me more. But after like 2 months I just started buying it from the shops as it was quicker than waiting on prescriptions lol x
@shannontalbot1997, Yeah in Asda they had the same ones I was being prescribed for like 60p lol. x
Yes. You’ll likely take them up to around 36 weeks. Get your midwife or doctor to prescribe more.
Yes I did. The consultant prescribed me my first lot and got in touch with my doctor who then did me a repeat prescription til the end of my pregnancy x
Yes, I think I was around 8 weeks when I started and I’m still on them. Do you have a drs appointment before they run out? I’m going to assume they want you to take them the duration of your pregnancy so they would want to give you refills. Call them and let them know you only have enough to last until x time and you wanted to know if they were going to call in a refill for you.
It was the consultant who has prescribed them I haven't had an appointment with consultant yet, it was my midwife that arranged it with the consultant for me. I have my midwife appointment on the 23rd should I ask her?xxx
I got 100 from sainsburys over the counter pharmacy cost about 1.20 far cheaper then prescription charge, (we all still have to pick up the prescription charge through Taxes)
