Does this look broken? Ive never broken anything before so im not sure. I slammed it in the stow away seats in our mini van when putting it down last night. It's progressively getting more purple down my finger and the pain is awful if I barely hit it on anything but it feels numb if I just touch it. The pain was so bad I actually cried and I can usually handle alot. It's super swollen and my finger feels tight.

I got me a splint and it definitely helps me from banging it. It looks better already
I don't know. I have done that before and it is the worst pain. I think it is just badly bruised. There are a lot of nerve endings in your fingers expecially under the nail. Even if it is broken there isn't much to be done beside pain relief, ice elevation and tapping it to another finger.
Thank you. My daughter had an appt today so I asked her doctor if he thought I should go. He said they don't do anything other than put a splint on it even if its broke so he told me to buy one at walmart. He saved me almost $200 lol
I would go to urgent care that looks painful and possibly broken. Especially with bruising getting worse and swelling radiating down your hand I would go get it checked out. Hope you feel better soon
I think im gonna go tomorow. It cost $180 even with my insurance but it's so painful. I have to get some relief

I had my whole finger go black cause I jammed it. They did put a brace on it cause it was that bad so it could just be badly jammed or broke
