My nearly one year old hasn’t been sleeping through the night for months now. She has to drink like two sometimes three bottles throughout the night. She doesn’t take many or long naps during the day either. She usually wakes up at 9 and by 11 she’s already ready to go back to sleep. Any advice would be amazing
I had the same issue slow the bottles down at night and give them something small that’s not going to smother the baby at all that smells like u my daughter was the same way and when I did that or even with a blanket she would sleep through the night
Stop giving her bottles during the night. It’ll be rough for the first few days or maybe even weeks, but eventually she’ll break the habit of waking to eat. My son started sleeping through the night when I night weaned him.
@zadiebrooke13, I did it cold turkey because I had to (had surgery and couldn’t breastfeed bc of the drugs). I’d offer him water, pat his back, comfort him, etc. just no milk. He was PISSED at first but he got over it in a few days.
Agreed! This age they are just go go go to busy to eat. Stop feeding at night. It might seem harsh but it will improve eating and sleep habits in the day. The first night is the worst. Expect to resettle multiple times but be consistent in your approach. Within 2 days my son forgot all about it and slept through the night. Worth it!
Let her cry it out she will get tired
