I feel so unprepared because I don’t have a name for my baby yet. Dad wants a Jr but I do t like the ideas of JR. Also I’m learning more about culture and tribe (Nigerian/Yoruba) and I want to him to have a Yoruba name.

In the Yoruba tribe there’s a naming ceremony that is held after the baby is born and that is when the name is announced. I’m not doing all of that but the name is extremely important.

So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that

ladies help! my SO wants our baby boy to be named after him and i personally dont like the idea of having a Jr but i would be okay making the babies middle name his first name but he doesn't want to compromise am i being unreasonable for fighting him on this ?

Does all your kids names match in a way? Same theme? Letters? Meanings? Do they all flow together? I love unisex names and Ryan, Devin or Dylan for a girl has always been on my list. I didn’t name my second baby Devyn like I wanted because I felt it didn’t look right next to my oldest girls name which is Madelynn. I don’t think I have a theme really going on other than the fact that both my girls have two middle names and they also have really girly and feminine names so I think naming this baby a unisex name wouldn’t look good with their names. Maybe I’m a weirdo and over think everything but what do y’all think?? 😭 For reference my girls names are Madelynn and Amina
