Y'all I still can't believe we nursed for 18 months. The first year was the easiest and after that was hell because I stopped pumping after she turned one. So this next baby I'm thinking of mostly pumping and bottle feeding at home, and nursing when we go out so I don't gotta deal with bringing bottles lol
I stopped pumping when she turned one and honestly I should have stopped nursing and only gave her expressed milk at that point, it would have saved me a lot of soreness that I'm still experiencing
Boobs are so much easier! Now that mine is 1 he gets whole milk when the boob isn’t available. Works well for us 💕. I’ve been breastfeeding for 4 years straight 😱😱😱😱
For me boob is easier because I don't have to get up in the middle of the night but that's about it. My daughter just started drinking milk this month. My boobs are still sore from when she was teething and constantly nursing right before she weaned! But wow 4 years that's a long time I'm not sure I'd even want to still have boobs after that lol
@dankerson, are you sure you don’t have an infection? They shouldn’t be sore like that. I had thrush for about a month and it was a nightmare!!!! Especially if you were bit, you might need a cream or antibiotic ❤️, not necessarily thrush, but there are a lot of different types of infections.
Haha- I love breastfeeding. Just not nipple issues (thrush etc).
@amysbabies maybe I did/do. I know she was nursing for comfort so not really getting milk. I was drying up from being pregnant also. So my boobs didn't have any lubrication on top of her constantly being on the boob and biting. It's still uncomfortable to lay on my chest. I'm basically touched out. And she still tries to nurse sometimes and she scratches my boobs in her sleep. I loved nursing but I definitely need a longggg break lol
I wish I would of bottle fed with expressed milk also
