Yesterday I was walking home from WIC and saw this guy just hanging out outside a business. It just seemed so strange lol like why is there a turkey just hanging out?

So they just wander around wild? I could see if we were out in the prairie of Colorado where I grew up but this is in a city. I've never seen anything besides squirrels and deer maybe a few antelope.
Eta I just looked it up. Apparently there are wild turkeys all over colorado springs lol and according to the article the populations are thriving.

Aww she lost her gang! There are turkeys everywhere where I live. I love seeing them! One time there were even babies with their mama lining up on my fence to learn to fly. But when I see just one, I think they are lost.
