Hey mommies can I get a tattoo if I'm breastfeeding? I did Google it but I know sometime Google has incorrect information. I did reach out to my OB on waiting for him to reply to my message. I'm just curious because I wanted to get a remembrance tattoo for my dad.

Most tattoo shops have it as a no go on their paperwork you sign.
@theirmommytiara Ive gotten some recently lol that's how I know. It may be different for your shops though. Always best to call and ask.
@beetlejuice_beetlejuice_beetlejuice the one shop I called she said even if the doctor says it's okay she wouldn't feel comfortable with doing it so I know that's a no go there.
@theirmommytiara although risk of infections are slim, they can be very bad. I would personally wait until after.
I did with my oldest I just pumped a couple of bottles for her while i was getting tattooed
Okay I reached out to a tattoo place today and the lady was like if my Ob my primary care doctor say it's okay then they would do it but I'm guessing some tattoo places won't.
@theirmommytiara it all depends I mean some might worry about infections and what not but if your ob and Dr says it's a good then all is good
