Is it an obligation to give a tip to someone you feel didn’t deserve it? We went to ihop yesterday and we usually get the best service from a guy there but yesterday it was different we had a woman waitress but she wasn’t much help at all

I always tip. However, I tip more for good service and less for bad service. If they are giving me shitty service they are still giving me service. Now if they were just straight up rude then I might not tip at all but Ive never had to do that.
Oh right cause here were I live restaurants without tip make more money then I do I only make 12:25 an hour and very limited hours
We sometimes go in a big group like of 8 and we get charged like 80 something dollars and it was only 3 yesterday and she charged us almost 60 dollars
Maybe your original waiter doesn’t charge you for everything you order because you’re a regular to him. The new waitress doesn’t know you so she charges you for everything.
Thank you Sounds like we might have to do that next time cause the waiter has always given great customer service even wen we are not there and just my uncle goes same thing but the waitress gave us such terrible service
