My one piece of shopping-with-babies-advice for new moms: if you want your squirmy child to sit in the seat in the cart where you can strap them in-ish (aubrie wriggles out of them all) and actually accomplish some shopping- then you need to fight it out and keep.them.there. NEVER, EVER stray from your plan because once they've tasted an ounce of freedom it's all over. I strayed the other day after 18 months of sticking to the plan. I let Aubrie climb into the back of the cart and before I knew it she was climbing out of the cart and just like that now she wants nothing to do with the cart. So now I have to decide- do I accept the new complicated normal or battle her back into the cart? 👋🏼 Back to the cart we gooooo, sigh.
