Any tips on getting puppy potty trained? Lol we picked the worse time to get a new pup 😂😂🤷 but besides potty training shes such a good girl. We love her!! Caseys named her ooga
Scheadual is key i woke every 3 hrs in the night . I had our pup trained in a week! I asked her if she had to go outside and potty then made a whining noise everytime then at the end of the week you ask if they gotta go and potty only this time dont make the whining noise see if they do it on there own if not continue until they do it on there own Also during potty training only have them outside to potty and bring back in no play until they have outside established for bathroom. And stay outside with them to praise.
We taught our dog to ring the bells hanging on the door. When he would ring the bells (we’d show him) we would take him out. It became a game for a while but then it became only when he needed to go. It was a life saver. Plus you can usually hear them across the house so you dont miss an opportunity and have an accident.
@kellelutz lab puppies have lots of energy, jumping and they put everything in their mouths. Mine is 8.5 months and starting to calm down. She is a wonderful dog wity my 7 year old though, she tolerates so much!
Take her out first thing in the morning before she eats, then again after....and then again and again and again all day long 🤣 praise her and tell her she's such a good girl when she does her thing outside. As pp said, try to keep breakfast and dinner consistent. Take her out right before bed and hope she sleeps at night (but expect to be woken up to go out).
@kellelutz you can try one of those bell strips that you put on the door knob. I never used one, but my mom has one for her dog since they live in an upstairs apartment. He nudges it when he has to go out 🤣
Take out hr after they eat. And every 3-4 hrs. Also, feed at the same time daily will help them also... It’s also getting cold 🥶 so might take them lil longer to go.
