Does birth control pills cause bleeding? I’m 7 weeks postpartum and I had My period last week but now I just keep having this light spotting and sometimes it gets darker. I’m just confused on what’s going on. I started my pill on the 12th

Yes it’s called break through bleeding, it can happen up to 3 months (or sometimes longer) once you start a new birth control. It takes a while to regulate your hormones.
