I get them a lot. I’ve had surgery once and even had them while pregnant and they were pretty big. They mostly dissolve on their own unless like @mims, said they have to be surgically removed.
What is the doctors plan? If it's fluid filled and not large usually it will dissolve on its own or rupture especially during ovulation. If it's a dermoid and growing those have to be surgically removed.
She just wants me to come back in 4 weeks to get another ultrasound done and monitor it but she didnt say what type it was and she didnt tell me weather or not it was big or small in fact she didnt really tell me anything except to come back in 4 weeks
@stellagorski1992, cysts are extremely common. All women make them during ovulation but when the egg is released they go away. Sounds like your doctor isn't too concerned at the moment and it must not be very big. She probably wants you to come back to remeasure and then at that time will speak to you about a plan of action. I suggest you research different types of cysts and how they form. Don't stress about it. You could go back and that baby be gone.
