“Dope addict” Not the proper way to phrase a “question” if you’re looking for a constructive conversation. Narcan is treated the same as an AED. This is due to the fact that it will briefly save a life, yet you still required transportation to a hospital, hospitalization, lifesaving medical intervention, detox, and rehabilitation. The cost of getting clean after an over dose is still insane in this country.
Only relating to insulin costs: As someone who used insulin daily for years I feel this. I had a high deductible health insurance plan where 7 months out of the year my insulin and supplies cost $600 a month until I met the deductible. The price of medicine in general, big pharma in particular is INSANE
I totally get this. My dads 9 week radiation was $55,000 per day, five days a week, for his nine weeks of treatment. Now with Medicare his chemo is $1,000 a month, for the next year.
