If you have a newborn there is nothing wrong with not wanting young children to hold them yet due to germs, if you take offense to that I’m sorry, but the well-being of my child is more important than your want to hold her.

Yes ma’am! And don’t feel bad about it, you’re protecting your baby. I said no to so many people who wanted to come because they or someone they cared for had been sick, it was hard and most people didn’t understand but too bad, they don’t have to. Follow your motherly instincts!

Thank you! I was made to feel bad about it bc “She could’ve just washed her hands” and I’m like first it all I don’t even know y’all that well, secondly, your daughter is 7 and just got out of school and was recently sick who knows what she’s carrying on her clothes or body.

@raisingradicks15, yes exactly! Coming from school is especially concerning. Kids carry so many germs.

Yep. She will still be adorable and cuddly AFTER cold and flu season.

Exactly! I’m okay with adults holding her, but I don’t want kids holding her at all yet, except for my son who isn’t exposed to other children and germs. My daughter hasn’t gotten all her vaccines yet either so I feel completely justified.
