I have this one. I really like it (I actually have 2- one for my 4 year old and one for my 1 month old). The only downside to grow-with-me type seats are you can’t remove them out of your car and carry them like infant seats. It’s good if you want to carry your baby around in a baby carrier though, which is what I do.
For my state it’s the age of 2 or they have to be a certain height and weight. But it’s different in each state. Google will tell you the specifics for your state.

Or longer, yes. Each state has different laws but 2 years old is a good start.
