Hey mommas i havent been on here for a while and this is totally random and still far away. But my p.o.s baby daddy asked me if he can claim the MY girls (i say it like that because ive been providing for them by myself without his help for a year and 1/2) i made that mistake this past time and we were suppose to got half and out of all of it he only have me 400 for my 3 girls. So obviously im planning on not letting him do it this year but is there a form IRS can give me stating he cant claim the girls and i can take it with me? I know its just money but i honestly dont think its right for him to even ask to after what he did and hes not the one buying school clothes shoes supplies the girls panties (since they just started potty training) clothes since they dont fit in them i have and my fiance. But my fiance dont want to get in trouble for claiming them so is there anything i can do so their dad cant?
i’m not sure if your fiancé can claim them, but if he does it first before BD gets a chance then there’s a solution to the problem.
i’m not a tax professional lol, this is info they gave me when I filed earlier this year and my fiancée claimed our son, i didn’t file anything against him bc either way both returns were used for US but I was confused when I tried putting my son on my taxes and they kept rejecting. it’s cause he was being a “big boy” and did his own taxes and had already claimed him. 🙄
