Check with your local courthouse. Some states won't allow a divorce decree to be notarized especially if there is custody of children involved.

Different states will require different paper work to be filed. Check with your state to see what is needed. I filed my own divorce and typed up my own divorce decree and all of the types of papers needed for the process. We still had to go in front of the judge and in total I paid around $115. Each state is different so make sure to check your state laws.

You can go to your local notary tell them what's going on and that you both agree on everything. They can draw something up for you. You both sign and take it to the courthouse to make it official.
