I wouldn’t say it’s odd my kids have never asked, they have been raised in a very culturally diverse world tho. My kids are also mixed. My 8 year old asked me what racist meant last year because kids were saying it at school.
I don't think mine ever did. But they grew up with every race around them so they never really questioned it. The only time they really say anything about race is trying to describe a person and there is no other way. Or the other day my daughter (who has very curly hard to manage hair) said all the girls at school do their own hair but not the black girls with braids, their moms still do theirs. I told her to watch the way she words things.
