When you go to your 6 weeks pp appointment.. Do they actually do an ultrasound or pelvic exam to clear you? 🤔
I was 3 weeks pp (almost 4) last week...post csection.. and my doctor told me that I can resume my normal activities 😳
@rese its different for everyone. If you are exclusively breast feeding it can be well after your child reaches 1.
@rese I couldn't. I had to supplement lo. And I got touched out. I was done breastfeeding at 10mo. I couldn't do it anymore.
With my 4 csections, I had the 2 week post-op check, then the 6 week check, where they would check my incision, feel my uterus (not through ultrasound, or pelvic exam), and I was cleared. So no, I’ve never had a pelvic exam, or ultrasound to be cleared. But it definitely was NEVER before the 6 week mark, that I’ve gotten cleared.
Yeah I've been checked weekly. Sometimes twice weekly due to the nature of my wound (I had a hematoma and had to get reopened and close back up).
He cleared me to drive, told me to exercise and I can use tampons, etc. Specifically.
So was I 🤷🏼♀️ they never checked anything I had one ultrasound the whole nine mths I was like whatever went back to the gym at like 4 weeks but I had natural.. get a second opinion for sure
I'd think they would know because with the csection they literally took my uterus out of me (I read in the notes... Weird lmao) but yeah I found the all clear, different. Lol
That’s not correct. I didn’t cleared till 8 weeks. I had 2 pp appointments. One at 6 weeks and the second at 8
They cleared me a week postpartum with no check. I had to be seen a week post partum bc I had "high" bp according to the visiting nurse. But i was sick and taking Tylenol cold and flu which i already know raises my bp but she wouldnt listen. So i went in and the doc comes in checks to make sure my uterus went back down and told me as soon as the bleeding stops i was clear to resume my normal activities. But no they never check via ultrasound. Some do a pelvic exam. But otherwise nothing is done at the post partum check
