I agree. People don't see the disparities because they live in a little suburban bubble and hang out with people who are just like them. I just read an article about how secession is the new segregation in schools. They basically carve new districts out because of areas becoming more populated, and you guessed it, it ends up being a new district that pretty much only wealthy white people are in the new one and the rest stick to the old district. Such absolute BS.

I dont have to see it in a movie. I see it in real life. It's just so sad. I'm Latina but I light skin with blue eyes so I dont see it. But I do see it with husband and in laws. And it sad. I would think all this is in the pass.

Till this day I wont forget an incident I saw ova the holidays cuz the victim reminded me of my mom and I didnt see her do anything to this lady and that lady snap at her and that poot lady look at her like I dont know what ur talking bout and she storm away and hit my dh with her bags and told him u should have said something to her cuz she was being ignorant. But in away I understand why dh didnt say anything. Hes been call bad names by ppl. I just wish my daughters never go thru that. But ur right. I have great friends too for keeping my heart open. And I show that to my daughter too.
