Literally almost in tears. This is from three pumping sessions. Two with a manual pump and one on my electric pump. Trying to increase my supply and it’s slow going for sure. 😔

Honestly that doesn’t seem like a bad amount. Are you breastfeeding as well or just pumping?

@kinsey_66, exclusively pumping is hard! I’ve never done it. I’ve heard you have to stay on a very strict pump schedule. Pumping isn’t as affective as a baby is.

@mrs.hibben, yeah I’ve heard 🙈 we do try to nurse, but I have to use a shield because he’s always had a rough time, and now he gets mad when it’s there and when I take it off 🤷🏼‍♀️ normally now he rips it off from flailing. Lol kinda funny in hindsight. Anyways, sometimes he does great but most the time he doesn’t. I wanted so badly for it to be a good experience.

@kinsey_66, He’s still little. I’d push him to nurse more. Maybe he’s getting frustrated because there isn’t milk immediately, message or pump for a minute before putting him on. It would help your supply. You could always use the shield to begin with then take it away after awhile. Breastfeeding is hard however you do it. You just haven’t figured out your rhythm yet. Stay positive. Check out Pinterest if you haven’t already. There are a lot of helpful things on there.

Make sure you’re drinking enough water. It makes a huge difference in my supply. I can tell the next day if I didn’t drink enough. Stay positive there are different foods and things you can try to increase your supply as well.

Try power pumping every hour to increase
