I just do it in the car ... or use a blanket been doing it 4 yrs i wish a bitch would say something idc ... look the other way 😂

I will always try to nurse in my car or somewhere private first because I do not cover, but there have been times where I have been out and about and needed to Nurse. I wear nursing friendly clothes so I don’t have to make it as obvious on what I’m doing, but I have no problem with feeding my child wherever we are. I just prefer to be somewhere more private if possible.
If I see a nursing mom I’ll go up to her, not really staring at her- I usually sit near her and tell her she’s doing a wonderful job. I try to not make it awkward (although maybe it is awkward having a convo with someone and not looking at them 😭) but I go out of my way to praise other nursing moms.

@nerdymommyplus2, @queenwatevrawanabi, yeah where I’m at they literally have it set up like a dressing room separate little stalls with outlets and stuff in each. Not all the malls but our bigger malls have made room in specific areas.

9 months in and I'm still embarrassed even covered. I take formula with me when we go out just incase. Most times we never use it because I go back to the car and breastfeed her.

So my reason for covering yourself mainly comes from me witnessing my special need students react to them seeing a woman breastfeeding in public. On several occasions the breast was pretty much fully exposed, except for the areola because the baby was latched. The children became aroused and on one occasion the child rushed the mom in an attempt to get to her breast.

Before I’ve witnessed this I had it set in my mind that “I would breastfeed WHEREVER without covering” but after having to calm and redirect the children I knew I would cover if I had to nurse in public.

It should be normal. The amount of pressure put on women to breastfeed in my opinion is a lot and to make additional hurdles when it’s already difficult for some women sucks. Women need more support when it comes to breastfeeding.

My child would sweat profusely.
Some kids have seizures from getting too hot (my oldest did)

But I'm not going to make my child uncomfortable because other people are .
Especially in the summer.
Even the thinnest blanket was too got for my newborn when the temperature was in the 90s pushing 100 degrees. It's not like I could've stayed home alll the time and she wouldn't take a bottle 🤷

I’ve breastfed all of mine and I breastfed in public. With my first I covered with a blanket, but after that I figured that’s to much work! I don’t show my boob, I am able to breastfeed pretty discretely so I don’t cover!

I don’t cover myself. I don’t want to and my child doesn’t like it if I try anyway. I’m not exposing my breast. If I’m not wearing a low cut shirt or something I do the two shirt method.
