“What is your process when you design a collection?” I’ve seen this question pop up a few places this week and I wanted to talk you guys through my process! 🥰

First we come up with a location. Every season there are many things that factor into our location decision. This season we were going to be in Belgium and Italy visiting two of our manufactures. So, I knew I wanted the location to be somewhere in Europe. We started coming up with all the possible places that sparked interest. Denmark just kept shining on that list. The hygge lifestyle was just calling to me I knew it was something I wanted more of in my life, especially after having a new baby. I wanted to feel content with being slow and at peace with slowing down. I wanted everyone to feel that with their loved ones this season. Once I was sold on the location I dove into really getting the vibe of Denmark. Looking at all the colors and patterns I could get my eyes on. Then I narrow down my color picks and start drawing out patterns. I always have so much fun doing this! I usually go to a coffee shop by myself and work everyday for weeks on it. It’s one of my favorite parts of my job. This is all happening about 6 months in advance (I’m actually working S/S 2020 now). Then the fabric starts rolling in and I get excited to wear each sling because I am truly in love with each one. And when I see you guys excited about each sling it makes me so happy! Just knowing all the moments you’re going to have with your baby in that sling is so special to me. Let me know if you have any questions about my process!! 🤗💗
