So my son is 9 months, and he doesn’t pull up on anything or stand up and walk along furniture. And his pediatrician recommended therapy, has anyone else been through this?
Yes! My youngest daughter worked with early childhood intervention, ECI. They still work with her and have since march. She didn't start walking on her own till 18 months old! She's now 21 months old and doing stairs by herself and almost running! She's made A lot of progress!
Yeah my daughter didn't walk independently until 20 months at 18 months she used an inverted walker . She 4 now and runs and jumps, and navigates stairs just fine.
My daughter needed early intervention it honestly was the best thing I ever did for her.
Seriously don't wait, you won't regret getting him the extra help he needs.
@ryan_isaac_mom14 you're welcome I honestly loved all of my daughter's therapists from early intervention. I was so sad when she aged out of the program when she turned 3. Her therapists really were like family, they were the greatest.
@ryan_isaac_mom14 you're welcome. I really wouldn't worry about it too much...
My little boy will be one next month and he just started pulling up and stuff. I wouldn't worry to much about it. I honestly think boys are just lazy lol
Mine is 10.5m and just started pulling up on stuff about 2 weeks ago. She has an issue with laxity in her joints. She starts PT next week to improve her muscle tone and get where she needs to be, developmentally.
It never hurts to ask ped if an evaluation needs to be made.
